Driftingland Vol. II: live recording sessions
Coney & Pike welcome an audience into the studio to be part of the follow up to their Driftingland project, centred upon guitar and piano improv.
'In a musical world often obsessed with layering, manipulation, and the pursuit of bigger, brighter, louder, Coney and Pike opt for something far more radical: listening.' Vito Camarretta (Chain D.L.K)
'Gawd it’s lovely. What I especially like is being able to hear the room. I love how you can hear Richard pedalling at the end of tracks... or how you can hear the room resonating.' - Neil Mason (Moonbuilding)
Their first record as a duo featured on BBC Radio 3, BBC 6, Resonance, FBI (AUS), KEXP (USA), RAI 3 (ITA) & RTE (IRL).
Free entry for U21s, this is a rare opportunity for a younger crowd to have a look into the recording process in a world class studio, built in a converted church in Ramsgate.

JQ & Richard Pike are two-thirds of jazz-tinted new age trio Forgiveness and curators of Salmon Universe. ‘Tessera’ is their first official duo LP. It explores the relationship between texture, frequency and impermanence in a singular way. This is music that is carefully sound-designed, infinite in detail but transitory. A kind of deconstructed-dub cubism.
